1680 back to almost NOS condition from RSC
A few months back i purchased a 1680 that had been babied for almost 40 years by one owner.
Watch came with original box, papers, original MK 1 dial and crystal. It had some marks from use but no scratches, bumps etc. The crystal was ageing and had some hairline scratches on it. When i took it for a service i decided not to polish or change the crystal. However i changed my mind down the road as i would be happier if it looked like new. As of yesterday i had it back with a new crystal fitted (kept the original) and polished lightly as per my strict instruction where particular care was given on the chamfers by the RSC. Also the Rolex coronet on the clasp was not touched. i must say i feel they did a good job but as always for me, all opinions are welcome!  Big thanks to my friend PanosI for the advice he gave me earlier this year. He is the man!
