6202 Monometer

Hi, I'm tempted into the world of vintage Rolexes, completely new one for me so looking for a bit of advice/help. I've looked at a few 'red triangle' watches and have been offered this one.

As far as I can tell, most 6202s were Turn O Graphs, with a few Monometers, so it's a rare piece. The hands look like 'pencil' originals too with a lollipop second hand.

Any comments?

Thanks,

Rob

If you legitimately have the opportunity to pick up a monometer....grab it!

Ah ya got me! This one seemed to go for halfway sensible money so maybe worth a go.

It's a thing of beauty for sure.

My comment would be I would like better photos of the dial and comparative photos of originals.

I'm not seeing SWISS at the bottom of that dial in that photo.

I'd need a close up of the 6 o'clock position.

If that isn't an original dial...it's worth half of what the Christie's one sold for which was half of what its worth imho if it also had an original dial...which can't be seen in that photo either.

I think this one is a good 'un, Tommy, but I'll have it in my hands in a few days for a closer look. ;-)
