There is 3 versions, the regular one, the pave dial and then a pave dial with diamond bracelet....priced between 96k and 140k retail.

One was white gold I suppose and the other one was fully gold. He said that he would sell them both for $300k, which would be $150k ea. This is a link to that video, maybe he still has those watches (most likely not) maybe he has more I don't know, but you can always call the shop and ask :) Skip to 5min 40s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trSs...4owR2&index=18
I know Michael, I asked him to help me get a Rainbow (the new rose, not the yellow or white in that video) he can't, and he has incredible connections! I'd assume most celebrities have purchased grey. And just because the ask is 265 doesn't mean that's the sale price, I'd imagine sale price is actually closer to 195k.

FYI John Mayer doesn't have the rose version, he only has the origial White Gold and Yellow Gold.

But yes Adam Levine, Mark Wahlberg and Steve Harvery do. If Ellen does I wouldn't be surprised. Re: Mark....if he went to a grey it would surprise me as he has the Rolex TEM which is somewhere in the $500k ballpark.

I personally had mixed feelings about the watch. For the wifey though, 100%

I wish you the best of luck locating one at MSRP.

We ended up getting the Pavé dial variant so admittedly suits the wife better...if it was the black lacquer dial then I would be wearing it (even though I intially had my reservations but it grabs me every time I see her wear it!)

Hahaha, very true, but then again don't think he'd even bother participating in an online watch forum lol.

This is an awesome thread. Made me feel dirt poor, but really interesting read.

Cool to hear even the super rich and well connected have to "hunt" sometimes.

We all gotta serve somebody.

It's almost starting to bother me the number of celebrities that are seen with "this" watch. I am going to assume the majority of them are aftermarket (like the girl from Jersey Shore, if she had a factory version of this I'd just sell all my watches and give up on life). At a certain point it's going to be devalued so much from overexposure the prices of the factory versions will drop (white gold seems to be the least expensive but to me the most beautiful version).

I also don't understand why the ones who are lucky enough to get this are re-selling it. If you are able to get one of the 12 in the US from an AD, you've had to have spent several million dollars there. At that point....is selling it for 100k profit really doing anything for you? Really annoying that with things like this Rolex doesn't track serials and have consequences. Ex: Mark Wahlberg has a TEM --easily $500k+ for a single piece, and if he can't get this from an AD for retail.....the people who are it just blows my mind they would want that profit. To the average person it's probably equal to selling something you spent $5 for $10.

I'm sure at least one of those rainbow variants for sale is from a shady dealer who sold one to a friend at retail, to resell for large profit.

A dealer in the diamond district... I would be willing to bet a lot of money it's aftermarket.

Does anyone know if any variation of the rainbow are still being produced? I have been receiving mixed messages on this question.

Also, Mark did not buy his RG Rainbow from a grey market dealer, I use the same AD and they supplied Mark with the watch, at retail of course. He apparently wants a second one though, which he will most likely have to go grey.

That makes me feel a little better as we got one with a Pave Dial for the wife (too much bling for me to pull off!) and I asked (in fact almost begged!) for my AD to get me a Black Lacquer Dial but they said they couldn’t but would if they could. Firm understanding is that it’s a done run and never to be produced again.

I get the impression that they can’t find the gems (that they’re happy with anyway) for the Bezel but have enough for the Dial and possibly why they’ve released these Pave Baguette Dials on the DD36

Would love to purchase one for my wife's bday coming up as she's in love with the watch! Was told that Rolex is currently not taking any orders for it, so wanted to see if the community has seen any at ADs recently worldwide.

Please PM me if you have any leads. Thanks in advance TRF for your help!

Hope everyone reading this is home safe... haven’t been on the forum in a long time but thought I’d update while I have some time! Back in August took delivery, from my AD, of this bad boy. The ultimate daytona I think!

Beautiful. What blows my mind the most is when you slide your fingers across the bezel and the stone placement is absolutely flawless. You can’t even feel the transition between the colors.

This watch isn’t photogenic in my opinion. After seeing it in the flesh and holding it I absolutely fell in love with it and IMHO there isn’t any other watch quite like it. Anywhere.

My AD had one a couple of months ago, no previous notice by Rolex , it just popped. It was the first they ever had . Incredible watch in person.
