If it is a GMT chrono where the chrono is meant to measure flight time, and the elapsed seconds is not really relevant to measure total flight time, then it may as well be a 2-counter chrono with a big sweeping seconds hand. It would make it look considerably different to the Daytona, and also would make it possible to place a date at 6 hours, maybe even with a cyclops lense. It would look a bit similar to the Tudor Heritage Chrono though. And I guess if they really fuse 3 complications together (date, GMT, chrono), then the case dimensions will be generous (44mm x 15mm at least), just like with the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra GMT.

Now the name sky-Dweller was registered as a TradeMark by Rolex SA of Switzerland on 22-JULY-1996 in Australia.Perhaps now they have just transferred the registration to Rolex USA which is a seperate company from Rolex SA.While anything is possible with Rolex dont build your hopes up for a any watch called the Skydweller yet.

Go to Rolex.com as it looks like the Sky Dweller will be released at Basel.

Rolex prefers reliability and robustness, rather than the accumulation of complications. But with them, you never realy know ... |

I find it rarely a wise strategy to give a moderator a hard time (even though your post certainly seems good-natured)!

Hmm, I was hoping for a sooner release of the iPhone 5. I have an iPad and it's just sort of an underwhelming toy for me. Doesn't replace an actual computer and it's no more mobile than my MacBook Air. I went and looked at current 4G LTE phones, my goodness has the Android platform blown Apple's current phone offerings out of the water. Ol' Stevie better have done a mighty fine job on just catching up the 5, or I think they'll really start losing phone customers.

My only guess is that its not a hand at all, but a part of the dial that maybe travels around these markers in a circular motion.

Don't get me wrong, I prefer Sub-42mm Rolex models. But Rolex already have a 43mm (DSSD) and a 44mm (YM II) watch, so it wouldn't be anything special to have one more 44mm watch in their lineup. Piling up the complications would be odd, of course, since Rolex usually avoid using multiple complications to assure simplicity, ruggedness and reliability. But you never know, they may surprise us...

I think the pic is actually the redesigned YM1, as much as I'd love to see a new model under the name "sky-dweller".

Anyone remembers the teasers for DSSD, YM II and DD II? I vaguely remember a sea scenery about the DSSD teaser, so it clearly suggested a diver's watch. In this case the clouds suggest Sky-Dweller, or at least something that has a connection with air and sky...

Reliable rumors say that at Basel Rolex will present a DDCP (Day Date Calendar Perpetual) in pink gold, at the remarkable price of about 49 K€ ...
