Most importantly, what shall be its nickname? Please have this decided before I finish breakfast.

(If it’s lamer than adding -SY to its dominant color let’s keep looking!)

if its a YM i am partial to the "Fancy Sub"

since we already have a sub, medium sub, and giant sub

I think that would be the south-east lug, just below the crown. Having said that, campaign it to my YM, the shape from the crown guard down the the lug is less pronounced in the teaser.

Occam's razor says it's a YM. Every other option involves Rolex redesigning a model to look like a YM.

More and more convinced it is a WG version of 116655 with updated movement and case.

1. Luggs are definitely YM-like.
2. It has applied logo like the 116655 and I don't think the non-pm models have this?
3. No bracelet showing could indicate OF.

I think you might be correct

Please tell me it’s not a black pvd case...

Perhaps steel.. but the slightly raised logo makes me think WG.

I think the shooting star can refer to the types of views explorers can have the chance to see when they go to unpolluted places. I am definitely not an expert on the subject but unless they are creating a new professional line dealing with astronomy or something, I think the only current Rolex line that can be linked to this teaser is Explorer II (or probably Explorer III).

New case and movement on the submariner line, with the case being the same size as the BLRO.

Not sure why people assume it's only one new watch. It even says "new watches." Anyway, #1 is definitely the Explorer II for me.

#2, and #3 I have no idea.
