if you are keeping it 5712. If you are not sure, 5711.

I was in the same predicament a couple of years ago. I stuck with the wait for the 5711 because I know that watch is harder to get, and got it eventually after my turn is due.

The 5712 is easier to get from the AD as compared with the 5711 blue. I skipped 3-4 5712 before I got the 5711 blue.

I received the 5712 quite soon after the 5711 and I have both pieces now. I will do the same thing if I have to go through the whole process again.

Try to convince him to keep your turn for a white 5711 and buy the blue 5712. You end up with diverse yet fantastic pair.

Perhaps try and negotiate the position; take the 5712/1A (covering the blue dial Nautilus angle) and then ask to be considered for a 5711/1A white dial without undue 'demotion'?

I’d take the 5712. I think it’s a nicer watch with the small rotor and such plus you have a 5711r

Which do you prefer? For me I much prefer 5711/1A blue so that would be my choice.

The 12 and the 11R IMO would be a great duo

How close are you to getting the 5711/1a, and were you on the list for the 5712 to begin with?

I wouldn’t get the 5712 just because one has become available.

he has been known to change his mind a time or two so it could very well be fluid and maybe the available one is the right choice

5712 no contest for me. It's a bit more money, but well worth it for how much extra you get.

If you are a flipper there is more profit in the 5711....

Very tough choice, both are fantastic.

I would possibly take the 5712 if I was in your position.

My personal goal is to own the 5711 in both steel and rose gold, but most people are bigger fans of the 5712, so a tough choice. I guess you have tried on the 5712 and are still undecided?

good idea!!! the white dial 5711 is really different. i am covered with blue since i have the 5980AR. i believe i cannot resist the 5712A, since i liked the 5712R version a lot, i only sold it because of the strap/buckle which just did not fit me.

5712/1A or 5711/1A???

Get the 12 - it’s a great complement to the 5711/1r.

Then the 5712 makes more sense, trust me the SS will find it hard to compete.

Then 5712 of course, even if you didn't have the 5711R I would have said 5712, but having the 11 I think it is much cooler to have the 5712
