5575 Procurement & Secondary
Mates - I'm in the process of procuring the 5575G and in the event I am not able, was curious as to opinions on the price in the secondary market. Do you think there will be a significant premium for this piece over retail ? Or do you think it will sell closer to its retail price ? Looking forward to your comments.

At this point whatever could be said about it, I would say it's speculation. It just came out yesterday.

1300 are made. That's a large number. If you look at previous 150 anniversary models, you can check the numbers and the availability. Those, which were made in 1000 or more are available on the secondary market. I don't know how easy or difficult it was to find them when they were just released. May be someone remembers that….

My guess is you will have to have a strong relationship with AD and if like mine they will offer or get for top clients. This is just how Patek does things and especially with harder to get pieces and application pieces. I love the watch and already called my AD today! Best of luck,

I am first on list so they told me don't worry I definitely get one! They called yesterday to inquire how long will have to wait so will have more details soon.

I am also first on my dealer's list. He stopped the list at 5 because he said he is getting 2 so why get peoples hopes up. Only took 5 in case people back out. I know it won't be me. Don't know who is number 2 but doubt he will back out either.

They are not "application" pieces but as the others have said, will be reserved for top clients. IMHO it's the best piece of all the 175th anniversary launches. Should be gorgeous in the flesh.

I think demand has outstripped supply on this one significantly.
AD's are each getting 2 to 3 5575's per store maximum with a lot being sold through PP boutiques. |

My AD in London, not the salon, is getting 4. They sold within 3 days and the UK price is £37,780.

I know the membership here on TRF is heavily skewed towards the US. However as with most Patek timepieces, the allocation is usually highest in Asia, then Europe, then the US. Some small number production like the 5975P of course will be limited to the Salons.
So I am curious if people are going to be paying the full US retail price on this timepiece, even though the US list price is significantly higher than Europe/Asia due to the current strong US$. |

Could have changed but I am pretty sure Europe got about 40% ( quite a difference) ,than the US and Asia on the third place.

Probably THE best moon phase available, plus the GMT is nice, and surely the nicest 175th… About getting one, I think except you're a big Patek buyer, there are few chances, I would think that you would pay a premium but after some time it could calm down, I love this piece but except if you have many other Pateks, I like when you have a see through back, it's the only thing I would have liked to be different on this piece...
