What must I do for Kelly if I want that 5740 Tiffany? Serious question.

Great article! Thanks for sharing It's hard enough getting one of the desired PP at retail...can't imagine trying to get a Tiffany one to boot.

let's hope LVMH dissolve that unhealthy partnership, it's quite sad to see grown ass successful men getting abused by someone who is the living embodiment of arrogant sales associates squeezing the little bit of power their job has given them. what has she actually done to deserve to be in such a position, it's not like she built the Tiffanny-Patek relationship from the ground, absolutely pathetic.

Pateks co-signed by Tiffany&Co were not in demand 10 years ago. It is all due to social medical hype and Patekaholic promotes Tiffany/Kelly a lot
Pateks co-signed by Beyer is rarer than Tiffany&Co |

Get yourself a 5740, remove the crystal, and stamp Beyer on the dial all by yourself.
Seriously, and I may be wrong but I cannot remember seeing any Beyer co-signed modern Pateks apart from the few 5170Js for their 250-year anniversary. Didn't they stop co-signng the way Tiffany does it some 2 or 3 decades years ago? Either way and despite the rarity co-signing on the dial is not for me at all. |

GQ article on Tiffany / Patek
Lots of masochists in the NYC money crowd. Don’t know Kelly and not saying anything negative about her just funny how she has all these grown men jumping through hoops like poodles at westminister.

Funny, I got a totally different vibe from the article. I imagine a community, brought together by Kelly, where like minded people get together and get to know each other. I see BBQ's at beach houses, private parties in NYC penthouses, weekends on a sailboat and long term friendships being forged. Once a month coming together in a venue to have a gathering and talking about the hobby, showcasing watches and jewellery. In the group she build she can identify the enthusiasts, the flippers and the posers. Allocation of watches is a nice perk. |

I am sorry, but as a European I still don't get what the fuss with T stamps is all about. Why would men want to clutter their nice clean Nautilus dial with a stamp from an up-market jewellery chain that predominantly sell jewellery for women. I get that T stamps in one sense make the watch rarer, but the extreme price premium for T stamped Pateks still seems quite strange to me.

I have no doubt there is some of what you describe as well but unless you’re a close friend, 7 figure annual spender or famous best believe you are that poodle.

I wonder what sort of controls Tiffany's and PP use to guard against corruption? The ability to essentially gift someone the premium over retail price that these watches command seems ripe for corruption.
This same problem applies for all AD's but is even more magnified for the Tiffany stamped PP's. There's a reckoning coming, its only a matter of time. I suspect the behind-the-scenes "gifts" that grey-market flippers likely give to the AD's that supply them with their stock, are not reported to the tax authorities. It would not surprise me to find that Kelly's home and lifestyle are more lavish than her tax reported salary would support. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to single her out, but this current trend of such an enormous delta between retail price and grey market price is bound to lead to corruption. |
