Bye bye Jewelers Mutual...

So, Liberty Mutual was much cheaper than JM when we upgraded my wife’s diamond ring last year. Now I just got a quote from them for my watch and it was 20% cheaper same features and no deductable. Given JM's recent history of dropping people or refusing coverage and charging a lot more for customers here in the Northeast, I’m officially done with them. No reason to stick with them now.

Thanks Jewelers Mutual, it’s been a good 12 years, but business is business.

I’ve been thinking about reevaluating my insurance. Do you need another policy with liberty mutual or will they just insure jewelry and watches?

I don't have a specific answer for you, I assume they will but the rates will most likely be better if you have your homeowners with them like we do.

I use LM.

No need for a claim so far. But I’ve been super happy with them up to this moment.

Yeah, I haven't been hearing good things, that's the main reason I went shopping for another providers coverage.

Yes they are nice but when it comes to claims.... you will be assed out he was broken into and it was real. They made him show all kinds of stuff bank records and card statements then got denied. I dont even have insurance but I will look at LM thanks.

Check with State Farm. They offer a Personal Articles Floater separate from a homeowners policy.

I am currently getting quotes on an engagement ring. My homeowner policy wouldn’t cover to the amount I needed. I’ve done extensive research and my three choices are gemsafe / gemshield / State Farm personal articles.

I've got a Personal Articles policy as a rider on my homeowners with State Farm. I'm paying $6 per $1,000 of insurance. I priced JM and State Farm was way cheaper - haven't priced anywhere else.

I did have a claim with State Farm 5 1/2 years ago (stolen Rolex) and they paid quickly and with no red tape - only had to give them the police report number and give them 2 or 3 weeks to see if they could find a replacement watch before they paid me the value of the policy.
