39.5 would have been perfection here, or even 39mm again, that was a perfect fitting watch when it was out...but love the dials.

It looks like it’s nicely proportioned.

this should fit like a rolex daytona, my 39mm jumbo while thinner, a little more broad on the wrist than the daytona

Nah. I think they did this to make a 'unisex' chrono, and wanted a big enough difference size wise from the 41mm version (hence, 38mm instead of 39mm).

Interesting, I would love try this on.
I tried on the 41mm version but it was too large on my 6.5” wrist. It looked like a giant compared to a Daytona.

I think you’ll get used to the size. 6.5” can easily sport the 41mm chrono. My wrist size around yours.

Same here - the 41mm just looks cartoonish on my 6.75 inch wrist.

Love the 38mm ROC and would love to have it as my first AP! I’ve tried on the Jumbo and it fits really well, 15400 not so much. Any guesses as to how difficult it’ll be to get one of these at a boutique?

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this already but these are boutique only.

Interestingly, I think this paves the way for the new flyback to make it into a new reference 41mm ROC. When that happens, there will be lines out the door.

Saw that as well but isn't AP in the process of only selling watches out of their boutiques and not supplying AD's? In that case it would make sense to be "boutique only."

Love the new ROC. Hope they have the same bracelet as the 39mm ROCs. The 37mm RO have too much of a taper with the bracelet, IMO.

see my thread with the updated pics.

Per my boutique guy at SIHH, the bracelet is the same as the 37mm.

Huge bummer, if it's true

I find the 37mm bracelet too narrow at the deployant side.

I find it too narrow in general. Feels like a woman's watch bracelet.

lol

I actually posted yesterday that I think this is an attempt to make this a unisex chrono line, similar to how they've positioned the 15450.

The grey one seems perfect, if it wasn’t for the missalignment of the date..

This. I don't understand why they couldn't center the date either between the counters or between the markers. Both would be ideal, but neither? Strangely careless.

That´s a thing I will never understand. Is so hard to get this date centered between the markers?
Since I´ve seen and noticed it, it´s the first thing I look at if I see the ROC.
And the mess is I just prepared to buy the Panda ROC

For the 41mm ROC, they didn’t have room to center the date bc of the subdials. Now, it looks like the 38mm ROC can have the date centered, but AP appears to not choose so for consistently with the 41mm ROC.

Yes, but the 41mm has its date window centered between the subdials, just not the markers. The 38mm is centered between neither. Makes absolutely no sense.
