Vintage Wristwatch Check. 67 Dodge Charger 440 and 69 Submariner 5513!

Yesterday I decided to pull my 67 Charger 440 out of the garage and give her a bath for some spring cruising. While out driving around I realized that this was the first time driving it since I got the 69 sub 5513. I thought to myself, what a great pairing of car and watch! They could have been worn together when they were still new. I've had this car since I was 16. It's a street legal driver with factory interior and it runs high 11s in the 1/4. 2 hobbies that I love. Cars and watches!

Let’s see the car, you can’t post this without showing it.

Killer watch.

Thank you guys! You're right though I don't know what I was thinking not posting pics of the car haha. So here you go

Also, the crown is stainless but it's been polished down due to it being banged against something during its lifetime. I'm going to have an NOS crown installed once it goes to the Ridleys for service

Yeah, that was the final race at the all Mopar drags at Woodburn Dragstrip in Oregon. I took first place in Sportsman division that day. That was a really fun weekend! I had to beat about 6 other cars before the final race

Is the 440 stroked? 11s are great for a steel car like that

Thank you! It is definitely heavy at just under 4000 lbs. It's not stroked. It's bored .30 over with a stout bottom end. The top end is what really makes it shine though. It's got cnc ported Edelbrock heads with a cnc ported six pack intake with worked over factory holley carbs. And it wouldn't be what it is today without my dad. He's an excellent tuner and has many years experience building and racing these old Mopars. My best time so far is 11.79 but it's usually in the 11.80's to 11.90's

I love it. As the owner of a beat up 71 Charger, I appreciate this kind of stuff more than most. That's a wicked combo you've got there!
