John's in New York.

Benny Tudino's in Hoboken.

Lou's in Chicago.

Absolutely nowhere worth even eating pizza in San Diego. Might as well go to Pizza Hut.

New Yorker here. One of the best pizza I've ever had was a Neapolitan pizza joint in Tokyo, of all places. I forgot the name, unfortunately.

Cappys II on Huntington ave in Boston. I went there almost daily for years back when I went to Northeastern University. 2 slices and a coke for a buck fiddy. May not have been the best but it sure was good.

Now its Escape from NY or A pizza Scholls.

1. Max and Leo's, Newton MA
2. Frank Pepe's Pizza, New Haven CT
3. Cape Cod Pizza, Brockton MA
4. Lynwood Cafe, Randolph MA
5. Stoked Wood Fired Pizza, Brookline MA

I have a NYC list too, but since I haven't had pizza there in over a year probably best to guess that others have a better understanding of current status.

X3 Neptune oysters has what is the best Lobster Roll on earth IMO and I've had them all from RI to Maine. Get it warm drenched in butter with fries.

Di Fara in Brooklyn is the best I've had. Lucali a close second. Pizza Time is my favorite local joint.

I used to have lunch here most days 35 years ago when I worked next door at what used to be Bleecker Bob's record store (and I see is now a sushi place). Great pizza, but basically only one type as I recall (marguerita) offered three ways - slice, sicilian slice and calzone.

My own oven when I have time
Let s get the record straight, nothing beats NY pizza. And please let’s stop calling the Chicago deep dish a “Pizza”, it is just a thick focaccia .
Alright; I guess I’m starting a WW III

Comparing Italian pizza to NY style is just comparing apples to oranges. Don’t get me wrong, I love both and when I’m in Italy I just load on pizza, focaccia and wine on a daily basis. Love the personal thin and brick oven pizza. And something to be said of all natural ingredients . Below is a pic from my last visit

Honestly there must be 100 places to get pizza in my hometown. Each have their own merits. I like all pizza. Give me your napoletana with it’s chewy crust and soft center, your NY style folded in half, I’ll eat a Chicago slice with a fork and a pint and last but not lease my hometown style in Buffalo is somewhere in between NY and Chicago. It’s about an inch thick, heavy handed with cheese from end to end, slightly sweet sauce and charred pepperoni cups.

Buffalo > bocce club

I’m quite certain I’ve been in there.
