Both are very nice but I'm going with the AP perpetual. I like the dial layout and complication better than the PP. Good luck!

Cant go wrong with either. In this case I would lean towards the Patek...no AP...no Patek...final answer.

AP for me.. In fact the RG PC in white/silver dial is very attractive. The brown dial is unique too.

The only problem with the equation of time is the price It almost doubles the Patek. And for me what draws me about those two model that I am Torn between is the chocolate sub dial.

According to some in TRF, the Patek will hold the its value better over time.

No they dont, but its a proven fact. PATEK, ROLEX AND CARTIER (Believe it or not) hold their value much better in the long run.

The 5712 is my favorite Nautilus...but in steel on bracelet. In the RG on strap I prefer the AP PC.

That's preference on what I'd wear...retaining value not considered. But part of that will come into play based on what you pay up front.

Tough, tough, tough...

I would say that at this level, both choices are good ones. I would go AP solely for the fact it's a cleaner more balanced dial, and it's a perpetual. The PP does not fall to short of perfect either!

Sorry but Patek wins this fight... AP looks better but the Patek WILL be the better watch.

X2 I don't buy a watch because its an investment..and I don't buy a watch because of its statement,
I buy a watch because of it looks, coolness, uniqueness most of all because I love it!

Question : Why does AP use white gold ( or is it steel? ) screws on the hexagon bezel in a rose gold watch and not use rose gold screws?

Slightly O/T but it's a shame the AP RO Perpetuals are so small otherwise I would definitely have one or two in my collection. 39mm is just too small when you are used to 44mm and 48mm ROOs. Even my 42mm feel too small now, which is why I selling them. Crazy, because 42mm is still a big watch!!

Back on topic, if the size is ok the AP gets it for me. I am a massive Patek fan but I just don't like this model for some reason.
