Good story, op.
I was sleeping in my 4-speed Toyota Tercel in the parking lot of Walmart in Elliott City, Maryland when I was 26 years old. I was taking a shower and brushing my teeth in the locked bathroom of an einstein’s Bagel bakery. That was the cadence for nearly five months. Then I made my first million by 41. Lot of people were born into privilege or haven’t had to work hard for the privileges they now enjoy. Some were born into privilege and still worked hard for the privileges they now enjoy. Some had shittier circumstances, grew up poor and broke as shit, but they overcame through education, hard work, perseverance, etc., to enjoy the privilege they now enjoy (my avenue). Us watch lovers come from many different stripes and walks of life. It makes this hobby that connects us all that much more interesting. Anyway, some have some roadblocks along the way, some don’t. Glad you overcame your obstacles, op, and it sounds like you’re blessed in many ways (family and business). Congrats and I wish you continued success. |
