New Railmasters

Was invited to see the Basel offerings at our local boutique. I'm probably in the very small minority that would rather have a non LE model. Both are beauties and it was a hard choice but in the end (for now) I put a deposit down for the lighter dialed one on bracelet, delivery later this year, will be waiting impatiently. For those who might like these, enjoy the photos, as poor as they are . . .

Sweet! I love both of those, but that steel dial is so damn cool. Good choice, can't wait to see your pics when it arrives.

I didn't like them at first...but they are possibly sleepers also since I couldn't get the 60th railmaster out of my mind when I saw it in person after being initially ambivalent about it. It now outhypes the 60th Speedy for me. Thanks for sharing.

Hey thanks JC . . . . most have preferred the dark dial from past comments elsewhere, nice to know I'm not alone

Not sure, my contact at the boutique said Omega has been delayed with all the Basel stuff so not till later this year, nothing more specific . . .

Hmmm, 2 more for the grey, interesting . . . I go back to the boutique later today as they said they will switch out the bracelet that's now on the grey and put it on the black so I can see. More pics from that and perhaps a change of choice, we'll see

Well my initial/original gut reaction was right, the light dial enchants a bit more so that's what I will have (Oct or Nov). Maybe the dark on bracelet reminds me of the Explorer, which I've had and loved, and I'm wanting something with a diff look with this one . . . pics from just a while ago.

I prefer this to the LE version, too, but I like the black dial better.

For those who like 'em doubt you'd go wrong with either

I really like then, even the bracelet (I don't care much for omega bracelets)

No, there's a lot of folk who don't care for either iteration, I'm not one of them though

I like both. Would be drawn to the lighter dial but also like the darker dial.

I like these new Rails. Had a 2500 cal about 8 years ago which I enjoyed.

I too came away very impressed with the black and silver dialed versions in person, especially on that herringbone strap.
I liked them better than any of the 60th anniversary tributes.
