Rolex Caliber 3235 Diameter

Hello all,

Can anyone tell me if Rolex can squeeze the 3235 into the 40mm Sub case when the time comes to upgrade the 3135 movement. Caliber Corner references it's placement in the larger DJ41 and SD43 so as to accommodate the larger 70 hour spring.

I posted this on here WatchTech because I hope to learn more about movement design and less about others size preferences. That said, I would not be averse to a slight increase in the Sub case size.

Many thanks,

Sordfish
