Yes I did placed an order and was told "by the end of this year". I believe the first batch would definitely not arrive Singapore but in US or Europe. That's why I am looking forward to others posting it first. I also ordered the 5968 but hope the 5740 come first. /SIZE] |

Both are objects of desire certainly. This poll was created during Baselworld 2018, and it would be intriguing to see the opinions again now. |

I've got a deposit down for the 5740, so that answers the question, but I wish they'd dial the size of their PCC watches back a bit. The 5270P seems too large in case diameter and thickness for a Patek. Love the salmon dial and brown leather though.

Agree on the diameter. The 5970 is perfect, the 5270 is a smidge too big.

I was told the first batch would be delivered in July but I still haven't heard of any one getting their 5740G or have an expected delivery date.

If we did this poll over the 5740 would win is my guess. Changing my vote LOL

I likely would vote “neither” at this point. Both are great, but neither is perfect. And at this price point, it needs to be perfect. I still want to see them in person before making a final decision, but it’s good that there’s time between Basel and purchase date!

Patek has never made a regular production stainless steal PC so unlikely they will make a regular production PC in the future. They made stainless steel PCC 1518A and 5004A but very few were made.

Rose gold isn't my thing, so I put a deposit down for a 5270P instead. Ironically, that watch will likely arrive months before the 5740. I suppose the answer to this poll is they're both excellent for completely different reasons |

Patek needs to start delivery the day after Basel next time so we all don’t have buyers remorse even before buying anything! Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
