These look great. Does anyone know of any originals still being sold? I have had a quick look but came up empty.

These never grow old; in fact, they’re one of the reasons I became interested in the Rolex brand.

These look so good in the matching frames! Do you know what magazine the Rolex “if you were” came from? I have tracked them down to 1969 but can’t seem to locate the magazine?

Absolutely brilliant. I love these old ads, and the fact that many of you have had them framed. Top idea that.

Best,
TA

Everybody needs a vintage ad :)

Hi all,

Glad to see this thread And love that there's so much interest and appreciation for vintage ads :)

I actually sell vintage watch ads (unframed and framed). Some of you know me - I'm @adpatina on Instagram. I started the business last year (April 2017). I'd been collecting for awhile and was encouraged by close friends of mine in the watch community to share my passion. I didn't know how it would go over... But right off the bat I got messages about my ads from watch guys (and gals) that dig them for different reasons... Some like them for the imagery (see 1966 Explorer "top of the Matterhorn" ad in previous posts), some for the advertising slogans (also see that same Explorer ad!), and of course, most wanted one to go with their watch!

I do have a website, but I temporarily disabled it. A new site is coming (soon)!

The best way to get in touch is through Instagram. From there you can send me a Direct Message or Email.

Here's some ads and a little of my work. Enjoy!

He has a website, but I believe he's currently redoing it. You could also check his instagram or PM him on here and see what he has available.

not so much.

They were $100 more at the PX for most US servicemen compared to the Seiko offerings.

They were tool watches first and foremost. I think the "luxury" status really took off in the 80's.

Today's offerings are Jewelry. I like them but let's be honest they are all about presence.

Here's some more ads :)

Appreciate the kind words from A D P A T I N A fans

I did reinstate my website this morning - adpatina.com It's the old version, but with current inventory available. There's also a little info on there about framing, ordering, shipping, and me :)

I didn't have time to update with pricing, dimensions... If you're interested in an ad (or two!) please email me your questions: nick@watchpatina.com

I'm hoping to have the new-and-improved site up in the coming weeks...

Until then, here's some more ads I've sold, framed, and have available... Also, I buy ads. Email me if you have any great ones you'd consider selling.

Thanks and enjoy!!
