5970 is nice but used here now cost close to the new 5270P... very hard to find.

any reason why no one likes the 5159/5327 esp Price point is quite a bit lower than 5740.
ADs here still have 5270R in stock.

If you can get 5740 in under a year I’d think it’s a great all around watch.

5270R shouldn't be hard to find, I see one in every AD I go to, 5740 on the other hand....

5740 seems to be the popular choice here. Based on the items you have chosen for your collection I would personally steer away from the 5740. You have two sports watches (and imo 5711 does the 'nautilus' better than any other varient), and you have a 'pilot' which while being a lovely watch is not classically Patek. I would add a piece that is quientessentially Patek.

5970p all day long. However, if we are sticking to the realm of currently in production, the 5270p/5270r is tempting. If you want to keep the piece purely a PC, the 5320g stole my heart. It's just so pure, legible and balanced.

wow, thought I made up my mind but here we are, reopening (I suppose not until the 5740 arrives). Not helping either, someone local is selling a double sealed 5970g 001 right now for 15% more than what the 5740 will cost. hmmmmmmm.. 5270r not to be found anywhere now in HK for some reason.

Finally, if I love the 5270p but basically out budget and not sure if I can stomach the initial drop immediately out of the door. hmmmmmm
