Do these 16750 Hands look OK?
I needed a set of hands to relume w/tritium. Do they look like Rolex parts? I am sure it is hard to tell from pictures but I figured it was worth a try.
Seller said they are tritium, and don’t glow in the dark anymore. If they are tritium I may leave them as is if they look ok in person. |

Answering a Question with a Question
What's wrong with the hands on your 16750 from your perspective Tekno? Or for a different watch?

Why would the Hour and Second hand react differently then the Minute And GMT Hand under UV light?

Could be different ages or different batches of paint. We don't know if this is a matched set.
The seconds hand and GMT hand on mine are slightly lighter than the hour/minute and dial despite all of them being original to the watch. The center post of the seconds hand looks odd to me for a 16750. I'll defer to others on whether or not these are correct. |

My watch has later hands, luminova I assume. All the hands glow pretty strong, the minute hand seems to not be as strong. Under direct UV light the minute hand is green, the rest of the hands are glowing white. When you remove the light they are green. They are always glowing and if is annoying. I thought I wouldn’t mind and you see what I am doing now... The seller of the hands is a watchmaker that sells a lot of vintage Rolex/Omega parts out of Buenos Aires on EBay, it was worth the gamble. Lots of positive transactions and all the parts he has for sale in other auctions look GTG, he isn’t selling a bunch of too good to be true dials and hands if you know what I mean. We will see. Do these 16750 Hands look OK?
I received the hands I ordered today. They are really nice, and don’t glow under bright light or UV light. All but one looks great, I bought them knowing one looked a little funky. I wanted yalls opinion.
Should I, would you have the one hand fixed? Other hands, they are a nice flat cream color... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

I’d leave them as is.

What causes the extreme dark spots, is this one you would want to “stabilize”.

To all the experts, is there any possible reasons the two sets of hands react so differently to uv light? It seems 2 hands is totally no response to the uv light.
Is it also possible so dial markers with tritum lume that would not react to uv at all? I mean even do not show as white color when uv is lighting the lume. Thanks.
