5711 vs 5712

If given the chance to purchase at MSRP the 5711 or 5712 but you cannot flip, which one would it be?

P.S. This is going to be my first PP.

5712 for me all the way. It has more character and the 240 "micro rotor" movement is a dream to behold.

If you have a SS Rolex (Sub, GMT), then definitely the 5712. The 5712 is my favorite Nautilus.

If it’s a one and only watch, then the 5711 because of the WR.

i gave up the 12 for the 11 recently. wasn't an easy choice, but once in hand (or more appropriately, on wrist) it was the right swap for me.

There is really no wrong answer

I prefer the 5712, but as I said no wrong answers.

I chose the 5711 and I´m still happy with this decision after a few years.

I started w a 5711 but ended up with both 11 and 12. Both are equally great watches for different reasons.

5711 - love the simplicity. Also not a big fan of the lopsided dial on the 5712.

Both awesome, but I’d get the 11, as I really dislike a moonphase on a watch, I prefer central seconds hand and the increased water resistance is nice.

The power reserve indicator and micro rotor on the 12 are very nice, but not quite enough to swing it for the 12.

5711 vs 5712

I like the simplicity of the 5711. While they’re all stunning, the minimalist in me is attracted to the original....

Always a tough choice.
5711 for me

Not a fan of the asymmetry.
Cannot beat the original.
