Fences don't always make great neighbors.

Especially when they're 40 ft high...

Great read after I actually spent the morning building a fence.

Great story.

Fences do not make good neighbors is an understatement here.

If Larry David (Curb Your Enthusiasm) saw this article I'm thinking the story could have made his show. He was spiteful. Haha.

Another great read.

My wife says we need a home with a drawbridge / mote filled with gators.

You always think City Councils will act to stop this kind of abuse of privilige by powerful individuals but it invariably comes as a shock to find they don't.

Of course this is the case. After all, they do exactly what they are paid to do: they don't allow anyone to question the privileges of powerful individuals. This is how they protect their own interests and the interests of their financiers.

I guess they didn’t have height ordinances back in the day.

Here it’s 8’ max.

In the UK the maximum height of fence is 6foot 6inches(2metres) and that includes any trelis.
