Mexico watch

Found the PM reference I wanted. Decent price and looks like a nice watch has stickers but no white tag. The warranty card was stamped in Spanish and dealer told me it was sourced out of Mexico. Any issues I need to be aware of in the US?

Depends on who the dealer is I guess.

Most of my watches were purchased in Mexico. Buy the seller.

Not getting the white tag is pretty standard nowadays

My LV Sub started its life in Mexico...found its way to Miami, then to me. Seller was reputable, but I used a credit card and had it authenticated at an RSC anyway. It all checked out. Did not come with a white tag.

how about warranty. The card on this is a 2022 but does warranty transfer from Mexico to US? I understand a bit about US warranty laws and how the warranty is transferred but not sure this is applied in watches that came from out of the US. Also how can one be sure the US duty was paid. I can imagine a scenario where this could come up at a RSC when taken in for work?

Warranty is international so should be all good.

After the watch has passed hands a few times I’m not sure there is any way to back track the customs dues. I wouldn’t worry too much on that end. RSC receives watches from all over and have no need to dig into that portion of it all.

Most Rolex ADs in MX are in tourist cities, I’m sure there are thousands upon thousands with the same provenance really.
