Yes. I just bought an oyster perpetual and a SubC date from him in the last two weeks. Great and seamless experience.

Nice writeup. Please post some pics..especially if the watch is well worn and secondly..not many pics of Rubber B on 16570 (am thinking to get Rubber B for mine).

yeh, great review. I am so happy to hear first hand that the 16570 is holding up in the field. I bought my P series a couple months ago, my first Rolex. I wont be putting it through any kind of challenges that a deployed pilot would but its great to hear how robust it is.

I have been itching to get more in-depth information about this model thats been flirting with me for a while. Your post has been very informative. I'm now worried about the weak lume. Is that maybe just something about your particular watch, or do you think its a general issue with all 16570??

Thanks for the review. As a person with a thinner wrist for whom my Tudor BBB at 41mm pushes the envelope, it's nice to see a vote for the older 40mm Explorer II which is my choice for a next watch. Glad to hear it's standing up to harsh conditions, following the Explorer tradition. How is the time keeping? My '91 DJ is running about 2.6 spd and I hope to get about that from the Explorer.
