Yahoo Email service ending ?
Hi everyone,
My parents both have Yahoo free email account and they have been getting email about something about them needing to make a decision about their email accounts. Is Verizon changing the Yahoo Accounts to fee based service ? Thank you. |

Verizon bought Yahoo and things are changing over in June. New terms of service (everyone with Yahoo account received this yesterday).
Accounts will still be 'free' for now. |

Don't know what your mom is looking at--probably some scam, but I just read the new terms of service and I see NOTHING about paid options.
Now, it clearly states Verizon can and will shove advertising down your throat you CANNOT opt out of and a bunch of other fun stuff. It's why I got off of Yahoo long ago. |

I'm with the Canadian version of Yahoo mail, I've had it for almost 20 years!! Hopefully it doesn't bail on me now
