My Most Accurate Watch Is My Daily Beater Too!

Hey Guys:

Now don't get your feathers ruffled when I tell you about this watch; I appreciate fine mechanicals (own 3 Rolexes and 3 Omegas), but this puppy is just plain awesome.

It is the STAUER Titanium Atomic. Very light weight, 42 mm case, easy to read dial, quartz movement, AND it updates twice daily to the NIST Atomic Clock in Colorado!!

The movement remembers which months have 28,30, or 31 days as well as automatically resetting for daylight savings...

The case and bracelet are both TITANIUM....

The best part is that the list price is just $195....

The only downside is the manual; IF you have to do some "tweaking" of the movement, be prepared for 2 pages of techno-babble...

PS: If you are a real bargin hunter like myself, then check out eBay. I have found 2 of these, BNIB for less than $60, delivered !!!

Hard not to wear it when a replacement costs less than a service on the other watches in my collection! Photo from Stauer Website...

Clive:

At first I didn't understand how you can have an accurate time keeper without a second hand...

The button on the right side of the case is a toggle switch; it goes back and forth between the Month/Date and Seconds counter in the digital window at the 6 o'clock position...

The minute hand is also a "jumper"; when the seconds goes to "00", the analog hand jumps to the next minute.
