Incoming! Breitling Navitimer A23322

After giving it some serious thought, I decided I had to take the Breitling plunge to see how I liked the brand. And what better way to take the plunge than to pick up a Navitimer*

I liked a lot of versions of this iconic model, but the A23322 seemed to be in that sweet spot for me. I have been scouring the sales forums for the last few months and finally found a near mint model from a guy on WUS. Watch arrived this morning and I couldn't be happier.

But enough blathering, let's get to some unboxing pics!

Of all the watches I've purchased, this one gave me the most heartburn leading up to the unboxing. I wasn't sure if the Navitimer would be too much "bling" for me, but I have to say, I really like the look of this watch. I was pleasantly surprised that the fully polished bracelet isn't as blingy as I thought it might be and it is very comfortable. However, like the Speedy Pro, I see myself getting some nice leather straps to wear with this guy. All in all, I am very happy with this purchase. Now to figure out how to use this bezel slide rule!

Cheers guys!

* Do not actually take a plunge with a Navitimer since it has 0m water resistance.

It looks great on you!

I have always had mixed feelings on Breitling but if I had to pick up one, this would be it, probably together with the Emergency.

The coolest breitling model in my opinion. Perfect in 42mm.
I didn't know it didn't have any water resistance.
Wonder if anyone swims with theirs with no issues?

Well, it technically has 3 bar water resistance. However, that does not mean waterproof to 30 meters. You could try swimming with it, but I sure wouldn't.

Per Seiko:
Water resistance (3 bar)
If "WATER RESISTANT" is inscribed on the case back, your watch is designed and manufactured to withstand up to 3 bar, such as accidental contact with splashes of water or rain, but it is not designed for wearing while swimming or diving.

Congratulations!! I love mine! Bought it about a year ago with the all white dials. My only complaint is setting the date. I have 8 watches in my rotation and if I forget to wind it for a few days it's a pain to set. Right now mine sits on the 28th so it will continue to until the end of the month and I will try to keep it up next month.

Regardless, a beautiful watch with great heritage! Enjoy it!

To know the future is to be trapped by it

Great watch!
Love the version with COSC certified ETA 7753, good, reliable and proven movement.
Plus, it has that old Valjoux DNA from the vintage Navitimers, which is always a good thing!

Thanks for all the compliments! I switched it over to a brown strap from the bracelet and really like the look. Also bought a black buffalo strap that goes awesome with it.

Although I'm not a fan of the Navi, I have to say it really looks good on your wrist. Congrats and wear it in good health.
