Tudor real or fake

Someone has offered me a trade but I don't know much about vintage Tudors. I have some reservations. Can you guys tell me what you think. Real or fake? I don't want to be burned on the trade. Cheers

I am but no means and expert but the hair on the back of my neck stands up when I see one of these red rangers. From what I have always seen they end up not being a true Ranger.

But I am sure someone who knows a lot more than me will come along soon.

The dial, hands and possibly the crystal are fake since there was never a factory red ranger. We would need to see a pic of the engravings between the lugs to determine if the case is real. Im suspicious of the movement too for a few reasons but the pics you provided are too blurry to make a determination.

Search the forums for Tudor Red Ranger. The general consensus is that Red Rangers aren't genuine. There are several threads on the subject.

Looks like a modified prince oysterdate to me, but I can't be sure. I would pass.

Some years a go now the cool modification was to refinish the dial to actually say Rolex on these Tudors. People ate them up like candy. They called it the California dial refinish.

I believe you are mixing up and combining 3 different stories.

That is not a "California dial".
A California dial has half Roman numerals, half Arabic numerals.
