Bubbleback query

Hi all,

What are your thoughts on this Rolex Bubbleback?

Does the dial look correct?

Cheers,

Peter

Ps. I think this looks like the real deal, but as always I'd appreciate a second opinion.

More pictures would be nice but it's very good for me. I would wager it's completely unpolished. The dial is original in my estimation. This is a 2 piece case but the bezel is not actually the type machined out of the case but it is screwed semi permanently with a gasket into the case middle using the same threads as the case back. This is a 31xx series not a 2940. The satin on the lugs will be straight not diagonal. Early to mid 40's likely. Got a serial number? Should likely be on the case back which will be flat. Very nice watch.

Yes, what he said...

Plus it might have the original crystal, but I'd have to have it in hand to be sure.

What about the coronet?

Thanks for the response guys. See close up attached.

I thought the coronet looked ever so slightly skewed on the right hand side, but I'm not sure if I'm looking into things too much?

What do you think?

Cheers,

Peter

That's a beautiful original dial -- no worries there. Looks like it's hardly aged over the past 70 years. Do you know the case reference number? Any photos of the outer/inner case back?
