Having had the deployment on my ROO Rubberclad, I recently switched to the tang buckle and couldn't be happier. I tried all sorts of thongs like reversing the deployant but couldn't never get it quite right. The tang, on the other hand, fits perfectly.

Tang is so much more comfortable, it's a upgrade!

Normally I would say deployant, but talking AP definitely tang. I find the ap deployant the most uncomfortable deployant of any watch brand I have ever owned.

AP deployment on my ROO Volcano is uncomfortable, but I prefer it to tang. I cannot stand the look of the tang buckle and looks matter to me as much as comfort. Ideally, AP will invest some R&D money into a deployment that is both comfortable and is in alignment with the aesthetics of the brand. But tang just needs to go.

Comfort is extremely important and I'm glad that AP is going with tang buckle vs deployant.

AP tang buckle is excellent. AP should redesign their deployants.

Does AP make the 20mm "2014" style rubber and leather straps only in one size?

I like the tang personally because I have an ~7" wrist that is wide but not tall, if that makes sense. So the watch sits very comfortably on top, but the short side of the strap goes all the way around half my wirst so when using the old deployment style strap, the deployment is not anywhere near centered on my wrist making it dig into the thumb side of my wrist.

In the picture I show what I mean. If the short side (that holds the buckle itself) was about 3/8" shorter it would center a deployment on the back of my wirst and likely be much more comfortable.

Maybe more comfortable but still kind of a downgrade IMO

It's so sad AP can't make a proper deployment buckle for the ROO. People give hublot so much shit, but their deployment rubber strap is best in the business IMO. Their rubber is like butter whereas even AP's is not as good.

I did notice the carbon concept had a deployment buckle I believe on a alligator strap. They definitely should carry that over to all ROOs without the rubber strap. Maybe even make a rubber strap version of it too though.
