So...I know it's random...but trade deepsea + pan 233 = AP 15400

Recently I visited Ap store in nyc and VC store tried AP 15400 & AP diver white. Also VC overseas chrono which they only had brown color. Actually new VC chrono is stunning. First time in person but quality was better then AP so got me thinking... what rolex forums say? If I trade in deepsea + pan 233 to ap 15400 or VC oversea chrono. I know new one can't exchange but old VC runs around 12k. What you guys think? I have Batman but that is keeper ?

AP and VC are both on a different level than Rolex.

I would personally go with the AP 15400, however you should be very close to being able to trade a Deepsea straight up for the 15400, + maybe around 2-3K in cash. No need to include the Pam in any trade

I think AP is an excellent watch. VC, AP, IWC etc are appealing to different populations and different reasons.

The only two other watch manafacteurs I am remotely interested in is Breuget and JLC. But for me, even these don't have a chance when deciding between a Rolex and X.

When I am in one of those boutiques, I always will look at one or two. Smile at how nice they are, look at what's on my wrist and say no thank you.

I had the AP 15400 and let it go for something else. I think you're giving away too much trading both watches for the AP. Your 233 has to be worth anywhere from $7500 to $8000 plus your deep sea. You can find a preowned 15400 for around $12K. Good luck deciding.

I wouldn't do this. Keep what you have and save for others.

I'd go for the blue 15400 or the RO chrono. VCO is a very nice piece too, nice blue dial as well.

AP is another level altogether, but to be without a Rolex isn't a good idea either!

VC is good, no doubt about that - but on your wrist the AP's look sensational - the VC looks like any other watch. Just my (admittedly very biased) opinion.

I also think the 15400 looks great on you. I haven't seen a VCO in the flesh, but something about that bezel doesn't sit right with me...I need to go see one. I wouldn't sell the PAM, every collection needs one. The two you're planning on selling are both really great watches so I'm not sure that's the right move. But if it's the only way to an AP or VC etc then I think it will be the PAM to go since it's probably the easiest to replace.

I kept my 15400 6 months because of the dings it is a big watch, if your are worried about the edges of the bezel think about it they are not as robust as the watches you are leaving.

I've tried on the new VCO. It looks incredible in person and in pictures. However on the wrist, it just looked off for me.

If its the blue 15400 i would do it.

Im not a fan of the VC, but then again I'm not really into chronos

The AP diver however looks amazing on you

As for the trade/flip, seems reasonable to me. I say go for it!

I would sell the two watches yourself. Then you'll only need to add a couple grand for a LNIB 15202.

Yeah I hear ya on that. I don't think I would shower in a 15400 either mainly out of fear of hitting it on the tile.

I would probably trade the 233 for the Hulk, especially as the Hulk is also popping up less often. I absolutely love my Hulk and would never part with mine. I traded my 312 to move up to something else. The PAMs aren't hard to get a hold of, so if you want one in the future, like me, you can replace it very easily, so long as it's not a limited edition etc.

Had both and the 233 is much nicer, loved the hulk in pics and when I saw it in the wild, but it is just TOOOOO green, I wouldn't do it

I would go AP 15400, but grey (New) Blue or White. I World try to keep the PAM... if possible. I have a 15400, great, elegant, but a bit more delicate as lets say a Datejust. But the look and the movement is just amazing

Agree that deepsea + pam233 is too much. Pam233 is a very desirable and sought after Pam.

Both great timepieces, but a deepsea can be used almost daily with everything.... The other ones not really.... Plus.... Matter of taste, I have one AP and one VC... To say "I have it in the collection"... But truth is.... I just never wear them....

Sold all my Rollies and only keep AP, PP, ALS, Pam. 15400 is my daily beater.
