RG ROC or RG ROO?

I'm conflicted now.

Which would you guys pick? The new RG ROC on a leather strap with brown or blue dial (probably would change blue strap on blue dial to black).

Or the new RG ROO? Also I'd be willing to wait till next year to get the in house movement in the ROC.

This choice would be a lot easier if I could afford the RG ROC on a bracelet .

The new RG ROC brown dial is gorgeous.

The dial on the new RG ROO is too much imo.

Did you try them on? Very different.

I had a ROO CE. I've tried on the ROC as well. My only issue is I'm wondering if it's not sporty enough.

I literally am going to wear this watch probably 24/7. So I'm going to wear it either with gym clothes (not at the gym) or with a suit.

I have both the RG ROC and ROO (original 44 dial) and as much as I am thinking of selling the 44, it just looks good with everything from a suit to shorts.

The ROC requires more 'babying' bc of the bracelet but it is a great piece for the more elegant times.

I'm debating actually just getting a steel ROC white dial for the "elegant" times. Then I could wear it on a bracelet or a leather strap. Though I'd wait till next year to see if they put the in house movement in there.

Didn't you already order the new ROO 44? I was going to go with the CE but after seeing all three in person I triggered on the RG

As far as comfort they seem the same. I mean probably the 41 would clearly be better since it's smaller.

I'm trying to go from just a look point of view, and which one will be more versatile. Or if they are both just as versatile.

I'll probably throw the brown one out. I think resale on that will be the worst. But the blue ROC and the ROO RG I think will be similar.

I still have my deposit on the ROO RG. But it's not coming till summer/fall. So can still change things around.

RG ROC or RG ROO?

Tough call. I vote none of the above for 24/7.

lol what would you vote then? I thought the 44 CE would be that watch, but after the price decrease and the uncertainty of it holding value, I dumped it quickly before anything happened. Plus it was a bit too muted. I had an all black watch before, then another all black watch, gotta change it up now.

I need to go loud .

They are heavy and flashy pieces but if you can pull it off I would go with the ROC. Much more versatile.

I hear you. RG 44 then. I'd rather carry the weight than deal with the bezel for a daily!

I personally prefer the new Ti 44 then the prior RG 44/PT 44.

Actually let me through another wrench in this. How about the 42mm gold ROO? Mustard dial. That's probably a more accurate comparison. Should I go 44mm gold ceramic ROO or 42mm all gold mustard ROO?

RG44 > RG42 imho. P/S : The RG42 with the RG bezel is a ding magnet.

Agree, my gold Nautilus marks up very easily so this ROO would be a nightmare.

I practice what Ben said. Self wrist awareness or something like that. My watches stay pristine

EDIT: I just realized in my last post I said through instead of throw.

I imagine you went in eyes wide open having owned the RG ROC.

Surely worth it as that chocolate dial really pairs with the the RG.

Now that my 5711 is gone my wife claims it was the best looking watch I owned lol

I would love to own the 5711/1R some day if I get the funds

I did and for well over a year I have been smart with it, but you know how I marked mine recently? I was wiping some dust off it and my jacket button just caught the bezel. I was pissed off for a second but these things happen, can't remember all the time, life's too short, it's still a beauty tho, esp now the sun is out here.

Bracelet RO is out of the budget :(. Otherwise definitely in a heartbeat I'd go with that.

I mean I guess technically I could get a 15400 on an all gold bracelet, more or less same price as 44mm RG ROO. But that seems too plain to me. I'd want the chrono :).

I consider myself a careful wearer and I still lost count of the number of times I have bang my ROO against a hard surface by accident and the ceramic bezel did well to protect it. My SS Diver's bezel is already showing nicks and dents all across the bezel. Imagine if it's gold.

The bigger the watch, the higher the risk. The price for a perfect ROO bezel is eternal vigilance.

I believe it. Do you gather it's easier to put faint swirls on the RG vs steel? I know dings and knicks would be easier but I'm just wondering about the light stuff.

If you have it long enough the light patina will be even and won't look bad imho
