7 (lv, sd, gmtII, sub, gv, exp2 and lvc) but would like to add a Daytona, Explorer 1 and a SD43. Then I'm done! Really!

That seems to be my problem too, I told myself I'd stop at ten... as for now, I'm off to discover the Basel novelties at the boutique today ;)

Had 10, scaled down to 8, will take it down to 4, then probably back up to 7 where I'll stay. 5 Rolex, 1 AP, and 1 Patek.

I have been up to as many as 14 and scaled back to 4 and have been in the 6-9 range for awhile. I currently have 5 Rolexes-YG and WG Sky-Dweller, Hulk, Polar Explorer II and a Date Just. I have 5 Tudors-Heritage Chrono Blue, BB Black, BB Bronze, Pelagos Blue and LHD. I also have a Tag Monza LE and a Seiko Turtle. I will buy the Tag Autavia on the rice bracelet and have a close look at the SD43 and the new Tudor Chrono. No plan now to thin out the collection but can always be tempted with a new release. I have stopped thinking about the number of watches and buy what I like and where them when I want.

Adding one more Rolex, and perhaps a Panerai or IWC |

I am almost a one-watch guy.
I have a Tudor Submariner as my main wearer. I have an El-Cheapo stainless steel dress watch on a leather strap for Church (or suits). I have Casio Illuminator for exercise or yard work. Over the years have owned 3 other Rolex models one at a time as the main wearer. I will probably hang on to the Tudor for a long time.

Pretty much uncountable. I collect and rarely sell my own watches and then I also run a company that manufactures and sells watches / watch parts / accessories / tools and I build custom-made dive watches... so there's watches just everywhere, all the time.

I gradually consolidated from 6 down to 4, and can see myself going down to three...

Too many... sometimes I toy with the idea of consolidating , then I wear one that I thought I'd consider selling/flipping, and remember why I liked it in the first place (when I bought it), and can't seem to part with it

I think the sweet spot is between 3-5 luxury timepieces. I currently have two automatics (Rolex 16200 and 116610) and a few beater/sentimental quartz.
