In search of Ceramic Diver (orange)

I have a 15305OR I wear to work quite often and need a "sports watch" with durability. Therefore, I want a watch with either ceramic or forged carbon material. I have a smaller wrist, and a 44mm is just way too big. The 42 mm is even slightly pushing it.
I've been thinking a while about and have decided upon the Ceramic diver with orange accents.
It seems these are much harder to find than its counterpart with yellow accents - why is that? I saw a used yellow one for sale around $17k.
It seems most others sell just under MSRP even though used....wondering what's a good price range?
Since it's a discontinued model, anyone have any leads?

There are a few on chrono24, try there, they sell for their last retail price mostly, even used, but they are worth it, it's a great watch

I looked a few months back and they all seemed around £20,000 all used examples ideally wanted BNIB but think the boats sailed on that one given the time since being discontinued.

I decided against it in the end as I could get a 44mm ROO for around the same.

Yellow has a forged carbon case, not ceramic, and is older. These tend to trade for 3-5k less than the all ceramic.

I would expect to pay 20-22k usd for one. It's a great watch but I am not overly fond of the all black look so I flipped it pretty quick.

Thanks yes, I actually like the Forged Carbon look. Interestingly, I ordered a Huracan Performante which has forged Carbon as well. I didn't know the yellow model was older than the all ceramic orange.

Price point seems about right. I was thinking of putting it on orange strap

Oh? Cars are now getting forged carbon? From the factory? That is impressive. I still rather have the 2x2 twill look though on the car.

Congrats that's a near perfect machine.

I actually really like the orange strap. I love that color of orange in general and that's probably why I was initially drawn to the 15707.

You can't really go wrong with the diver c. If you don't like it, it'd an easy watch to move.

Small wrist nothing, with a car like that you could rock a 44 no problem, maybe even a Schumi, go big or go home... but have a nice drive around first.

The ceramic diver is less common than the forged carbon diver. There is a old thread here with a e-mail from a Japanese AP boutique stating that there were only 350 made, the same for the white one.
Pricing is hard... I bought my ceramic diver 5 month ago and I payed 20k gbp. Maybe a tad much but I really wanted it and haven't regretted it. I have been approached more than once about selling mine so market seems strong.

My take on 42 vs 44 is that the 44s do wear noticeably larger. I tried on multiple 44s but I can't pull it off in many opinions.. 42 however feels and look great on me.

Cheers and happy hunting!

You will love the CE diver. Has an amazing, yet stealthy, wrist presence

Lol, thanks guys.
I wish I could but the 44 will def look too big.
I tried on my friend's 42 Bumblebee and it barely fit.
Does the Ceramic diver fit similarly too the Bumblebee?

What condition issues are you finding? Edge chips?

I've been offered 3 and one had a chip, one had a stripped (unmovable) screw, and the last one had been opened by the in-house watchmaker (not AP certified)....sigh

The seller in the U.K. was transparent with me and told his shop watchmaker had opened the watch to inspect the movement.

Seems odd unless there was an issue and he was being cheap. He could easily inspect it through the sapphire caseback
