Incoming Ball Engineer II Marvelight

Received yesterday and sized today. I'll spare the packaging details. The watch has large tritium plots (hence the name). Heft is like a DJII although the size is a bit smaller at 40mm. It has an ETA work horse engine and screw in crown. Ball is an old brand dating back to 1883 and known for being a standard for the Rail Road industry back then. Here are a few photos.

Awesome Lee!! And their bracelets are amongst some of the best I have felt.

And they have some COSC certified movements they use. Not sure in what models.

Actually they pretty much led the way to COSC being designed for Railroad workers. This one isn't COSC; I set it to time.is and will track it.

There is an Engineer 2 Pioneer I have been keeping an eye on over at WatchExchange subreddit since you mentioned the divers a couple weeks ago. Very tempting.

Thanks, Franscisco!!

Brandon, I'll let you know what the accuracy is like. There is a shop near me that does watch repairs and is a Ball AD. I can likely get it adjusted there if need be. The Engineer III Pioneer seems to have their in house movement, fwiw.

Congratulations. I have looked at these watches for years but never pulled the trigger. I might revisit.

May have to take a stab at the price it is posted for. My non-chronometer Ball watches were always pretty close to it. Never went out of my way to check but my watchmaker buddy was curious so he checked it a couple times when he cleaned the bracelets for me.

Congrats, I like it.

I don't know if you're aware but lume shots are required when posting pictures of Ball watches.

I apologize for the blurriness. My tripod is stashed away and my cameras need charging. This is the best I could do with my iPhone. You get the idea of the tritium lumes.

I'm sure that tritium can light your way at night. Ball watches have the best lume, even better than Seiko.

Randy
For certain the best lume I've seen. It's the lume that drew me to the brand. Rolex should look at this technology to be considered a real tool watch. I think the SuperLuminova just doesn't really cut it regardless what it looks like immediately after being exposed to a flash light. This is my second Ball watch; another shown below is due in April to May time frame.
