Trade thoughts

I have become very interested in the Seamaster Aqua Terra with the green dial...so much so that I am considering trading my Rolex Milgauss (white) for one. (Obviously I would need some cash my way as well.) I thought the Omega sub forum on the Rolex forum would be a good place to get some thoughts. Am I crazy to consider this?

Crazy? No, as long as you enjoy it more than your Milgauss.

From a value perspective, just comes down to how much cash.

Yeah I think that’s a good trade (plus cash). I traded a sub for a SMP plus cash and never looked back. The AT is a great piece. I happen to like the look better than the milgauss. I’d get the white dial AT on blue rubber. Just me though.

I’d rather have that Aqua Terra. Some guys would call us crazy. It’s all about what you like.

No, not crazy. Especially if you have other white face Rolexes.

The green Seamaster has a lot of personality. Great watch

For me it would be not even be a thought. AT all day over a Milgauss. Add the stunning green dial and I would have traded on the spot!. I am wanting one of those Sooo bad that I'm considering holding off on getting the Speedmaster sapphire sandwich next and getting the green AT. So much better that the Milgauss in my opinion with the looks, water resistance, 15,000 gauss and 8900 Metas. I would be wearing the AT right now.

I would do that trade. I've never been a fan of that Rolex, and I love my Aqua Terra. The green dial is dynamite!

It’s not cray if you prefer the watch, don’t forget that there are a lot of folk out there totally blinkered when it comes to Rolex

I personally prefer the AT over the milgauss, so yes I’d likely do that with cash my way.

Just depend if you prefer having the Rolex to the omega on your wrist really.

I agree, the AT is a nicer watch to me. Ironically, the AT can withstand more magnetic force than the Milguass (the sole purpose of that watch).

I would have to see what else is in the collection. Both watches are nice and depending on how much wear the Milgauss is getting the trade could be on the table. An option might be adding the AT and keeping the Milgauss and seeing which watch works better and gets more wear then selling the one that does not. Once the Milgauss is gone you will pay significantly more to get it back should you want one. In the end it will be about what you want and the numbers on a sale/trade. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

If you dress up often, go for it. AT is perfect watch that can be dressed down as well.

Personally, yes. Without a doubt. I think the Green AT is an absolute stunner.

personally I would miss the milgauss more. Plus the green is a fad that will go away and is hard to coordinate with anything

I really prefer the AT over that particular Rolex. The Milgauss looks sort if "pedestrian" compared to the Omega in my opinion. The AT had a little more flash but can be dressed up or down as needed. Go for it!

I would not, Aqua Terras are everywhere to find and for sale, generally for very cheap prices. A new trendy green variant does not make it any better, for me Rolex any day over Omega if I had the choice of only one. Keep your much more interesting Milgauss.

Milgauss is one of the "ugliest" rolexes out there if it were anything else even a datejust i would reconsider. The Aquaterra looks way better. you're getting the better deal
