Perfectly proportioned dive watch. Incredible engineering achievement, perfect combination of matte dial and markers for tool use. Overshadowed by a cheaper, similar ceramic sub.

Since then Rolex have faffed around with 43mm, 44mm, 40mm and 41mm... and they nailed it already in 2014 with the 2 year production perfect dive watch ref: 116600

Explorer II, but with it being held back in distribution, it’s now hard to get. I remember it always being readily available at my AD and offered with a decent discount.

Form current collection air king (busy dial, thick, no lume), SD 43 (size/weight) and cellini of course (as Patek is king of dress watches). Old YM 40mm silver dial is an example that discontinued model not always becomes a hot watch (submariner dominance).

No sports model is underrated anymore. The only Rolex to fit that bill would be Cellini range especially the WG dress pieces.

For me yachtmaster - blue and rhodium dials both look stunning and the raised pt bezel is a looker too.

Datejusts getting a lot more love lately but both the 36 and the 41 are lookers too.

The Explorer II. It holds it own among the SS Sport models and excels.

Not anymore, I recently checked prices just to see where they're at and was very surprised to see they're creeping up on the 5 figure mark for clean box/papers examples.

For me I want to say the 116710LN since it's often overshadowed by the BLNR and BLRO. I have to fact check myself, but I'm almost positive it was the first stainless watch to sport the ceramic bezel, the black insert is nice and understated and the little bit of color from the green dial text and green 24hr hand adds that little extra something that the all black sub lacks.

This exactly.
The 124060 is damn close for those who don’t want a date.

2-tone Datejust. There are so many of these in the display case.

Captain America is the blue YM because of the color combo of the blue dial and red second hand.
