No, you were right, on the money in fact. Mine was a somewhat lazy comparison, but my point is that although The Beatles are very highly rated, some say they're still not rated highly enough (i.e. we need a number lower than one and a word signifying better than best). Similarly the Bluesy and the polar refs (but as you say there are other more twinkling stars in the Rolex firmament).

The YMII is a killer watch that is very polarizing. Lots of hate for it, but many admirers like myself as well.

IMHO the Air King. I got one the other week and the wrist presence is awesome. It's a hefty watch and I love wearing it. I especially love the dial and the colours. I think it is under appreciated, but like all sleeping giants it will eventually wake.

YM 40. Both steel version and everrose with oysterflex

If somehow I would spend ~25K on a watch YM everrose would be top of my list

I would tend to agree...these weren’t on my radar for a long time. I saw the Everose last year and admired it and every time I went into the AD, I would try it on but didn’t think I wanted a PM.
I then saw a Rhodium/Slate in person and told my AD I wanted one. He ended up getting one for my wife to give me for Xmas this year and last month I capitulated and bought the Everose...just love these now...

You likened it to the Beatles, suggesting greatness - yet as we know the profile of the Bluesy is nothing like a Daytona, GMT or even a stainless Submariner for that matter.

This is a fun thread to think about.

Your written English is better than many native English speakers.

Another vote here for SD4000.

Its proportions are just - p e r f e c t.

An engineery and design marvel, in my opinion the most beautiful Rolex ever produced.
Underrated because quite stealth. But incredible by the way, regarding lisibility, balance and engineer work.

I still vote for the Bluesy...

The Yacht-Master 42 in all its WG and OF glory:

I mean HONESTLY people......

Ciao e grazie

definitely CHNR; it's a young one, but the best looking GMT and centainly the best looking TT imo. I believe this one is going to be hard to get in the following years

Turn-O-Graph. Largely unloved when in production, but the only steel Rolex with PCL that I actually thought looked better that way. Just the right level of complexity without going overboard and a great way to get 36mm to wear a bit larger.

I love it especially because it's blue... you can never go wrong with blue dials.
