In my case we were doing a project for a client in Richmond. We stationed two associates on site for several months. My partner and I would fly over over every few weeks to check on progress. Due to family circumstances, we had to fly both associates (at separate times) back to the States quickly, so we authorized them to fly the Concorde. Once when my partner and I were in Richmond, I told him it was unfair that the associates had flown the Concorde and we hadn't. So I called our travel agent (who happened to be my wife) and told her to book our return on the Concorde. Naturally all travel costs were charged to the client. They were spending so much on this project that they didn't even notice the cost of travel.

It cost me £160 for both of us. I get an allowance for tickets and by booking the cheapest going for the return ticket (outside toilets etc.) I had to fork out the £160 out of my own pocket. Worth every penny.

You're lucky to have been able to fly the F-14. That's my favorite plane even if it's retired. It was a combination of Top Gun and Robotech that influenced me on wanting to fly one, but the eyesight prevented that from happening.

I flew on them for almost 20 years and logged over 4000 hours. I was not a pilot, but rather a loadmaster, taking care of the cargo, passengers, and paratroopers (when we airdropped). It was a great job and I got to visit 65 countries over the years. The bottom pic is me in Hanoi North Vietnam in 1993 bringing home remains of our fallen POW/MIAs. I was honored to do that mission on three different occasions. It was a great life on that aircraft.

It must have been a great feeling to be up there in control of those machines, something I would have always loved to have done.

Holy Crap...small world! Hey Steve...not sure if you know who 'ol Moby33 is...but I'll give you a clue. We worked together teaching at Annapolis in mighty Sea/Nav just a few short years ago!!! I'm sure you heard about Vern (tragic) and I still exchange emails w/ Maz now & again! Small world indeed.

OK, I'll play Am on year number 24 in the U.S. Army. Been flying UH-60 Blackhawks since 2004. Prior to that flew AH-64 Apaches, AH-1 Cobras, OH-58 Kiowas, and UH-1 Hueys. My favorite was tha Cobra, it just had a certain personality about it. Unfortunately I do not have any pictures on digits of the Cobra, 58, and Huey.

I was sitting in front of a Whole Foods yesterday on the laptop, just outside of Las Vegas. There were lots of fighter jets landing at Nellis, flying really low right overhead. It was deafening, but I should take my camera out there today and snap a few...

Thanks for keeping guys like me safe while walking out of those in the middle of the night. I loved the 141's b/c there was no need to jump which was hard to do with 150lbs of equipment. You just walked right out and it basically sucked you out of the plane.

I remember that one was 55 seconds I think? :) I dropped over 1500 guys in five days over Sicily DZ one week back in 1982. It was all money jumps, we did three lifts a day dropping 110 each jump. I worked my ass off pulling in static lines, configuring the red seats, and rigging the retriever winches. I got tired just thinking about it. :) Good times.

Man, do I ever remember day upon day sitting on green ramp lounging on the grass hill as the jumpers lined up behind the aricraft. Something similar to these pics

The F117A Stealth Fighter is reputedly a very unstable aircraft and required computers to fly due to its unaerodynamic design.

Well this video is evidence from a pilot that the F117A is in fact 'rock steady' and so we can put that statement of 'unstable' to bed as intended misinformation.



Model F117A aircraft have also been found to be rock steady in flight and extremely stable.

Louie, yes I have this model jet. It is awesome. Eddie (Directioneng) and I got one each. I'm still constructing mine, and learning to fly . Very well made and as you can see from the video it is super nice to fly.

I got our F117's directly from the manufacturer in China. Quality is very good and for $200

Definitely get one. You will love it.

Steve,oh yesh from the video and the pictures i must say i'm impressed..i already have a JR 9 channel radio,so i probably buy the ARF kit from them..i nvr flown a plane,but have been flying heli..(i only tried flying planes on simulation,really fun) I thought it's pre-painted,with only decals we need to paste them on the stealth ourselves..

Steve,my advice do practice on the sim before you take off...it really helps!
