Stop clicking on phishing links and then entering your username and password

No hacking, just members giving away their passwords again.

All have been banned and asked to prove identity to admin.

There are myriad ways that TRF’ers can have their user ID’s and passwords taken over. Other top reasons include public WiFi piggybacking, malware keystroke loggers, malicious yet innocent-looking apps on smartphone behaving badly and endpoint hacking.

So if your TRF credentials are taken over, just think about what else has been compromised....

Granted.

Theoretically all you mentioned plus many other ways, including a person on a ladder outside your window watching your fingers.

If we were to lose the "click this link / fake login page" PMs this place will be practically empty of "hacked" threads.

This person just reached out to me claiming they want to purchase my Submariner. Very shady email with a link to login to. I clicked the link, but didn’t log in.

As far as I remember it is hard to disable links in PMs without disabling them in forum posts. Maybe it is possible now? Or have a filter that will remove links from PMs?

be careful with the links you receive via pm as someone poses as having an interest in your watch click this link for trades xyz
