Cartier Love Bracelet for Men

Are Cartier love bracelets on men too feminine? My wife sure thinks so but I kind of like it

I find it’s one of those things that’s 50/50 with most people. I personally think they’re good looking, but some of their options offered (colored stones) may be too feminine for most men. All comes down to what you feel comfortable with. It’s funny because the bracelet is originally designed to be for both men and women to show a commitment to love. (That’s why they’re designed to be difficult to remove).

With that being said, I’m planning on picking up the standard one in rose gold end of year. It’s been on my list forever, but I always get side tracked with adding new watches lol.

Richard Hammond rocks one with a Rolex in most of his shows!

Richard Rawlings wears them, so they have to be masculine!

I ran into him in the Cartier Dallas boutique when I was trying them on for size lol. He had a stack of them on in every color.

Anything called “love bracelet” sounds like it belongs on a young girl.

Now if it was called “ass kicker” or “money maker” or “man maker” “name taker” “deal maker” “mountain climber”, then it would be masculine and you’d see Arnold or Sly wearing it. But Love Bracelet? I don’t think so.

Sure?!
That helps complete the look....for you.

I think it could work for both genders, but it's a fine line on the male side.
Just my 2c, in the spirit of the OP's thread intent.

Buy what you like, that has always been my motto!

Well, a neck tattoo and quite possibly a green mohawk couldn’t hurt.

It’s funny as that was along the line of my first thoughts. Love bracelet? Name says it all. But after google images I was surprised at the look. If you look at all the examples without diamonds, as those with diamonds fall in line with what I was expecting, your left with basically a band of metal with screw heads. That does not necessarily scream feminine (although they are labeled as such) or love. For the price it should be called the getting screwed bracelet.

I just had a look on the Cartier site at "Mens Love Bracelets," I looked at a selection, all were modelled by ladies.

You love it, you get it.

Style is a personal preference and if I had $1 for all the style haters over the decades...

Get it!

PS: Wife and I share the Tank Solo XL and love it, yet I've been eyeing changing my wedding band plus getting a matching Bvlgari bracelet.

Yes, I agree, I did say I looked at a selection because I knew someone would check.

It is strange, I followed your link and I got a lady, maybe they advertise differently for different countries. It's semantics, your point is taken though.

Yep, agree different countries may get different images for same product.

It was originally designed and intended to be his and hers. It’s an iconic design, timeless in my mind. If you like it buy it.

Once it’s on the wrist for a few months that shiny newness will dull. Always thought a Titanium or Tantalum one would do very well because it’d be a little more dull.

i read that white gold dulls the fastest/most. from what i've seen and from my personal experience, the yellow (and prob rose, but i only have yellow) doesn't dull that fast, assuming you're not reckless and don't beat it up, it should take years. i wore it from july to feb and obviously there are scratches but the shinyness is like it was on day 1. also it does take a bit of getting used to

also cartier offers a free "shining" service, which from my understanding is much more gentle than polishing and restores it to a brand new look

I'm not into wearing rings/bracelets but I'm fine with whoever wants to do so.

Cartier = $$$ so I expect these cost a pretty penny

I just looked at the pricing on these things and nearly pooped myself. Quite a few are more than my Sub, and some are even more than a (grey market) Daytona!

That’s right, based on experience with WG and RG. The WG dulled within a month or two of daily wear. But I like it that way.

You’re either a bracelet kind of guy or you’re not ... there’s no in between IMHO.

That said, to each their own but I prefer the look of a watch and that’s it.

Well, I truly believe it is personal taste. Just as if I chose to wear a 34mm vintage OP one day and you say it's a ladies size. Jewelry is an accessory. I wear none, but that doesn't mean I would never. How about the Just en Clos or "Nail" bracelet. A more masculine design? I know a guy in the roofing business. He thought a big nail wrapped around his wrist could be cool. He didn't seem to be the bracelet kinda guy, but hey.
I have seen many love's on guys. Looks great on some, and then looks feminine on others. Guess you have to look at the wearer;)
