Bracelet info help (6251/62510H)
Hello,
I just got this bracelet for my 1603 off eBay and planned to send it to Michael Young for restoration. I was hoping to get some opinions first. The end-links are marked 55 but the clasp is marked 62510H. My suspicion is the clasp was replaced at some point in time and the rest of the bracelet came from a 6251, but looking for other help here. Thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Your suspicion sounds very plausible to me.

The 62510H was typically sold on the GMT Master.
The "S10" would indicate a 1994 clasp. But the double S, "S S10" suggests a service clasp. Even if this is a mismatch of parts, it's worth reconditioning if you plan to wear it. If you plan to flip it, you probably won't make your money back. |

Razor, the bracelet is a 6251 Jubilee which came with 55 end links. This was a common bracelet found on many Datejusts or similar models. At some point, a watchmaker or someone, changed the clasp and added a service replacement Jubilee 62510 clasp.
Additionally, the Jubilee 62510 was a very common bracelet found on the Datejusts during the 1980s and later years and to a lesser extent on the GMT 16750 and 16700 as well as the GMT II 16710 and 16760.

Thanks guys! It’s in Michael Young’s hands now and can’t wait to get it on my old 1603 and bring it back in the rotation.
