Ok, PJ, I googled. Michale Kors = MK. I have seen a lot of MK handbags out there IRL, but never took note of his watches. Took a look at the MK website, and wow, quite a lot of watch lines...

But I didn’t see ANY that looked similar to the AP Code 11.59.

It’s not so much as completely similar, just the sparse looking dial and slender hands of the Blake model, that V25V was referring to.
Similarly the Daniel Wellington.

The main point being that the time only and chronograph models have a fashion watch resemblance which isn’t what we’ve come to expect from a haute horlogerie brand.
Whilst AP can (and has) referenced the look to a model from their distance past, these initial pieces look to have been a copy/paste job rather than the nod to a retro design that other brands have managed relatively successfully.

Ok. I thought he was referring to a resemblance to an actual MK watch. I’ve seen Montblanc watches that were much closer in resemblance, but those are not value based fashion watches. Actually saw one IRL at an airport and snuck a closer look to see if I was spotting a Code 11.59 in the wild. Not yet.

Awful Piguet 11.59

The case the hands the dial and a stupid name

Don’t watch the video its so cringeworthy

https://youtu.be/GYQNWXi95lY

Yes its superbly made with great movements but just no

But despite poor sales i suspect its hear to stay as rarely do top level management bad ideas get to admitted being just that and swiftly binned....

I agree the name is unbelievable. Sounds like a fine pre-production project name, but it was a mistake in my opinion to release the line with that name and that ad campaign.

And even on these individual advertisement videos, I question the choices in dialogue and voice.

I kinda like the case, though.

The marketing and name are worse than the watch which is an unbelievable achievement. Who knows what they were smoking but it must have be some good shit.

I really enjoy mine, I have a few royal oaks and offshore and my 21 year old cousin is set on the code. He likes it the best out of all my APs so you never know when these young guys get better paying jobs they might be buying codes then it might become the new hot thing haha.

Beautiful choice, this is the one I could actually go for.
This aventurine dial, curved saphire and case

But it is too big and thick for me... 40mm and 8mm would have been perfect !
