Rolex case only auction, wow!
Just watched a case only, no movement, no bracelet from a 1959 no crown guards 6542 GMT sell for $8100 with 61 bids (I think). I had to call my friend, he has a 1956 6542. I told him a while back it was worth good money. He had a dealer offer him $3500 a few months ago, I told him that was a ridiculous offer. He doesn't have the Bakelite insert and the dial has been relumed. But still, it's worth a heck of a lot more than what that dealer offered.

Watch out! Frankenstein is coming (pun truly intended).
I blame it on the autoconnect. |
