16600 - This thing is awesome!

I'll try to post some pics but had to share this. I just picked up my first 16600--what an awesome watch! It's a beast! I used to think the 16600 was just a 16610 with a deeper WR and no cyclops. No! It has so much more presence on the wrist! Thicker crystal, bezel, case.

I've owned pretty much every Rolex sport model- 16520, 116520, 14060, 16610, 116610, 16710, 116710, 16570. I have to say after a few hours of ownership that the 16600 is one of the coolest Rolex models by far.

Why doesn't this model get more love??? I would strongly recommend folks think about picking one up before these get too expensive.

Nice watch.

My theory on the less love for them is no cyclops hurts it with the mainstream and that's why wis's appreciate them more.

I love the absence of the 16-59 minute marker/gradations on the bezel. So much cleaner.

I like them so much I sold my 2007 Sub Date to get it! Don't regret it one bit. I hate that cyclops on the Sub.

wow, it is quite the presence on the wrist. i've never seen one in person, or at least noticed...i suppose my untrained eye may have just assumed it was a sub. what's the weight on the sea-dweller?

One of my favorites. What surprises me the most is how many AD sales associates compliments me by saying "nice submariner". I politely reply it's a Sea Dweller.

Also a huge fan. Bezel, markers, case, hands and the date window are all in perfect harmony. It does have some heft to it, and fairly tall on the wrist, but neither will matter once you wear it. Truly a remarkable piece.

The 1665 and 16600 are the best SD ever made, IMO. They're turning into Rolex' version of the ROO with newer models. Fortunately there are enough older ones floating around for all to enjoy.
