the only watch I really like from SIHH is the "new" Cartier Cintree Curvex (though the super simple ETA movement what not really justify the 20k price tag) a very nice Calatrava in 37mm ,subsecond and with a nice large handwound movement woul be a nice addition .

I for sure would be down for one.

Looks like the 5370 will be released with a blue dial in P, a black dial in R and a white dial in G - credit to Patekaholic for this info

I have heard that the 5131r will also be discontinued
I'd be interested too for sure. Price is all, if it is a little underpriced demand will be huge.

Won’t be less than 200,000 chf, though I would have hoped for it to be unique in platinum

Yes, agree that a Aquanaut chrono is likely coming to continue engaging the younger market.

A 5270 replacement seems unlikely this year. We have not even had the 5270P yet.

How many members are going to get banned from AD tales when that comes out?

Would love to see a 5960 but with no rotor and thinner. Thing has a power reserve, no need for the rotor given how thick it is.

That won’t happen...but if it did? I would head down to my ad with 1000 cash and start the bribing process

i think that is possible. I thought for a second to wait out Basel in case before requesting one but came to the conclusion that even with a blue option i would still most likely pick the current dial. But, it would be a hit for sure.

Patek knows it would be a hit so they will come up with a new price as well. Hopefully you will get yours before Basel.

With so much hype over the Nautilus and TS's well known stance on them, it will be interesting to see if any new variations of the Nautilus are released at all? Money where your mouth is or just money money money?

Rhone has already informed the ADs of their 2018 allocations. Your AD will be able to find out from Rhone the estimated time scale for delivery.

for what it's worth, the Salon expects the next 5990 to come in around March/April, and that there are going to be 5 - 6 this year.

I know this because I very nearly passed over the purchase due to issues with my funding (bank card got frauded same weekend I was supposed to purchase so funding was frozen). I explained the situation to my SA, and she was nice enough to let me know that if i couldn't make the purchase on this one she would let this piece go to someone else and I can purchase the next one (i.e. a position swap), luckily everything worked out in the end
