Wanted: 1655 Explorer II dial tutorial...

Please tell me what you see here. Original bezel? Original dial or relumed? Good case?

As always, thanks for everyone's expertise.

You can study the dials here:

In regards to this particular one, I leave it to the pros.

Molte grazie, amico mio.

I checked the bezels on Stefano's site and that's one reason I'm scratching my head.

To me, the fonts/markings on the bezel I posted look serif.

Should they be?

I own an MK2 1655 and obsessively researched for dozens of hours before buying. I've never seen a bezel like that, and it's certainly not on Stefano's site, unless my middle-aged eyes are deceiving me.

I'm not drawing any conclusions from that, other than I'd want confirmation on the bezel's authenticity before even thinking about the rest of the watch. Another difference is the date wheel .... Usually the serif numbers are on the brushed metal variety, not the later white ones. Good luck.

OK. Thanks. Sounds like this watch is funkier than James Brown.

Appreciate it.
