Your watch and the things that define you

Quite a few threads with watches pictured with specific things (cars/sunglasses/drinks/dogs etc).

But, I was thinking about the more obscure things, that make you who you are.

Hopefully, there will be a wide diversity of 'stuff' in this thread.......pictured with watches

I like watches and flowers - unfortunately I'm a 5h1t photographer - even with a digital camera.

I partake in outdoor pursuits that, out of respect for our worldwide members, are not discussed in detail. I have many pictures of my watches and the tools of those pursuits.

I also enjoy fast food. So, without further adieu, here is a pic of my watch at Sonic.

I thought really hard, but can’t come up with anything. That’s probably not a good sign

I never tell my wife the true price I've paid for my latest bicycle. I hope it's obscure enough.

I believe what makes someone who they are is what they value/love/hate. So for me....

I love to hate lutefisk, and place great value on the various modern technologies brought to bear that allow us to preserve fish in a way that doesn't turn it into a stinking, poisoned, gelatinous substance before eating.

Icees not so much. Popcorn, yes. I am a man of simple tastes. I also like chili dogs, cheeseburgers and domestic beer.

With respect to the thread, and treading very carefully within the rules of the forum, I enjoy precision and accuracy. I find that my outdoor pursuits, which focus on stationery objects and not living things, provide me with a sense of accomplishment. I have reached a series of simple accomplishments that may not mean much to others, but mean a lot to me.

What truly defines me is family. I'm a family man. I love my wife, daughters, son in law and grandsons more than anything. It sounds trite, but it is true.

Yesterday, we celebrated my younger daughter's high school graduation. We had a small gathering of friends and family and had a lot of fun.

This picture is most of the family. My older grandson is away in West Virginia, and my son-in-law took the picture.

I enjoy binge watching historical drama series and taking long walks on the beach. Makes me who I am.

Things don't make me who I am.

My values and experiences define me and influence that person into whom I am evolving.

Nothing forthcoming as of yet which suggests it's likely the OP is just running an operation to collect data on others looking for weaknesses, motivational pressure points, and ways in which we can be compromised. The fact that he specifically asks for the more "obscure things" about ourselves while attempting to put an easygoing spin on it in order to mask the unusualness of that request by bundling it with a common, known enticement for TRF members to actively participate (his request for posting watch pictures) allows us to correctly interpret his thread's true purpose. Simply put, it's a trap.

Good thing I lied before.

I just gagged a little. My Scandanavian relatives would make lutefisk at Christmas. We children would go into the basement in an effort to escape the smell. Fish with the consistency of mucous! Uff da!
