Well I guess Phillips thought it wouldn’t be worth $266k since the high estimate was $130k.

Probably because the last two that sold were only half of that and they had the all important divers provenance which this one lacks ..... but yes they are great watches and with only 100 supplied with matt dials and many of those replaced with service dials very rare !

That is a very fine piece. I love the triple 6 Modern case and matte dial. Add to it Comex and wow what a rare beast.

My grail comex and still regret turning down the one from the first Phillips auction. Could have had it for 68k....
