General consensus on Longines master collection?

Not too much in these forums about Longines. I am considering this watch in 40mm size. Thoughts from the pros?

Also, as a follow up ??? Anyone have experience with Jomashop? Thanks in advance!

Dial is much too busy for me, but it's a matter of personal preference. Longines is a quality brand, and they have a nice variety of styles. If you like it and the price is right, I wouldn't hesitate.

Good value. Nice way to get into mechanical watches.

FYI, general consensus is a tautology. Consensus is general by definition. Sorry, I was an English major.

As for the brand, I owned a Longines as a 18 year old back in the 60's. It was a decent watch. As for yours, the dial looks a bit busy to me, but if you like it go for it. Might be hard to flip.

I agree with the suggestion to try them in person. I can't explain it but I've looked at and seriously considered a couple of them but they just didn't look right on my wrist.

Personally not a fan of the brand, but if you like it that should not stop you in any way, I noticed that often great watches look worse in pics than in real, and on the contrary not so great watches look much better in pics than reality, I definitely put Longines in the second category, each time I saw them in real they had no appeal whatsoever to me, I kinda find this one to look nice but am almost sure in real I would not like it

I like many of the photographs of the watches but when I see them in person and try them on, most don't work. Nothing wrong with the brand but if you buy one you own it. No real secondary market unless a private sell to an individual. So many other brands and options I have never bought one.
